The width of electrical steel demanded by the market is mainly 1200 mm and 1000 mm. The cold rolling mill of Tong Steel Cold Rolled Plate Company is 1710 mm mill, which can roll wide specification plates, so we choose to develop 1200 mm wide specification steel plates. The main magnetic property requirements of non-oriented silicon steel are low iron loss and high magnetic susceptibility. Iron loss and magnetic susceptibility are tissue-sensitive magnetism, which are related to the chemical composition, but also to the internal structure, plate thickness, surface finish, and applied stress. The use of a cold rolling method rolling, can improve production and reduce costs. The use of primary cold rolling method requires a large depression rate (≥ 75%) to ensure that the {110}<001> weave component is further increased, so that the magnetic properties are improved. According to the overall depression rate requirements of electrical steel, the hot-rolled material thickness was designed to be 2.3 mm, and the total cold-rolled depression rate was 78%. This not only ensures the required depression rate (>75%), but also facilitates the control of the hot-rolled sheet shape.
